Any hunting operation — whether commercial or independent, including outfitters and lodges is welcome to join Book The Wild. The only requirement is that your operation meets legal requirements.

Joining Book The Wild is completely free for outfitters. We only charge an 8% commission on each successful hunt booked through our platform.

Yes, we require that all outfitters list their hunts at the same prices that are available through any other sales channels, be it their own website, other platforms, or direct bookings. This ensures fairness and transparency for all hunters using Book the Wild.

Outfitters are paid in two installments. The first payment is a nonrefundable 50% deposit from the hunter at the time of booking. This deposit covers only the cost of the hunt itself, not any additional fees or taxes. The second payment, which is the remaining 50% of the hunt's cost, is made 180 days before the hunt begins.

• As an outfitter on Book The Wild, it's important to understand our payment and refund terms. Here's a quick overview:
  • Initial Payment: When a hunter books a hunt, they pay 50% of the total fee upfront along with any other fees like taxes or optional insurance. This deposit is non-refundable.
  • Second Payment: The remaining 50% is due 180 days before the scheduled hunt. Like the initial payment, this is also non-refundable.
  • Voluntary Refund Option: Although our policy is non-refundable, as an outfitter, you have the option to offer a full refund to the hunter at your discretion.
  • Weather-Related Refunds: In cases of severe weather, you have two options:
    • Offer a full refund to the hunter, or
    • Provide a voucher valid for one year from the original date or through the end of the next hunting season for the specific game.
    • Please note that these weather-related decisions will be between you and the hunter directly.

• Book The Wild uses Stripe as our payment processor to handle all financial transactions. Stripe is a secure and well-known online payment service that accepts a variety of payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, and more. Here’s how it works:
  • Secure Processing: All transactions are encrypted and secure, ensuring both outfitters and hunters can be confident in the payment process.
  • Instant Payment: Once a hunter books a hunt and makes an initial 50% non-refundable deposit, the payment is processed immediately. The remaining 50% will be processed 180 days prior to the hunt.
  • Payouts: After a payment has been made, Stripe will transfer the funds to your connected bank account according to the payment schedule you've set up with Stripe.
  • Transparency: You can track all your transactions, see payment schedules, and manage refunds (if applicable) directly through your Stripe account.

• Reviews and ratings are an essential part of the Book The Wild experience. They help build trust within our community and offer valuable insights for both hunters and outfitters. Here's how the system works:
  • Post-Hunt Review: After a hunt is completed, the hunter can leave a review and rating for the outfitter.
  • Rating Scale: Outfitters are rated based off three factors: Quality of Hunt, Value of Hunt, and Hospitality the client received.
  • Approval Process: All reviews go through a moderation process to ensure they meet our community guidelines.
  • Response: Outfitters can respond to reviews, offering a chance to thank hunters for positive feedback or address any issues raised in less favorable reviews.
  • Dispute: If a review violates our guidelines or is unfair, it can be reported for further evaluation by our moderation team.
  • Visibility: Reviews are visible to everyone who visits a profile, not just those who have booked with an outfitter. This makes them a vital aspect of an outfitter’s online reputation on Book The Wild.
