Premier Rio Grande Turkey Hunts: April–May

The counties we hunt host some of the largest winter roosts of turkeys in the nation and produce incredible numbers in the spring. In good years, bird populations exceed all expectations, and even in challenging years, the hunt remains thrilling. While we have great numbers of birds every year, we take a very limited number of hunters as part of our sustainable management program. These wild turkeys are intelligent and provide a rewarding challenge, making a successful hunt all the more satisfying. There is nothing as exciting as working a big ole tom into shotgun range.
